«This is vengeance against the EU»: special rapporteur on Navalny’s case in PACE Jacques Maire explains why he is banned from entering Russia
On April, 30 Russia imposed new sanctions on eight EU citizens, banning them from entering Russia. Jacques Maire, special repporteur on Alexei Navalny's poisoning in PACE was among these people. Maire was working on Navlany's case since October 2020 and was hoping to visit Russia to meet the witnessess of the poisoning. We asked him to voice his opinion on the real reasons of the ban imposed on him.
